From checking seller verification badges to using Cash on Delivery, here's everything you need to stay safe while shopping online in Pakistan.

Online shopping in Pakistan has grown rapidly, but so have scams and low-quality products. Here are 10 tips to protect yourself and shop with confidence.

1. Always Buy from Verified Sellers

On OCOP.pk, every seller goes through a verification process. Look for the green verification badges — Email, Phone, ID, Address, Bank, and CIT. A seller with 4+ verifications earns the Trusted Seller badge. Always prefer these sellers.

2. Use Cash on Delivery When Possible

Cash on Delivery (COD) is the safest payment method in Pakistan. You only pay when the package arrives and you've inspected it. Most OCOP.pk sellers offer COD across Pakistan.

3. Read Product Reviews Carefully

Real customer reviews tell you about product quality, delivery time, and seller reliability. Look for reviews with photos — they're harder to fake.

4. Check Product Photos Closely

Zoom in on product images. If photos look too perfect or stock-like, ask the seller for real photos. Legitimate sellers on OCOP.pk use actual product photos.

5. Compare Prices

If a price seems too good to be true, it usually is. Compare prices of similar products across multiple sellers. Extreme discounts often mean low quality or counterfeit items.

6. Read the Return Policy

OCOP.pk has a 7-day return policy. Before purchasing, check if the specific seller has any additional conditions. Keep packaging until you're sure you're satisfied.

7. Use the Platform's Messaging System

Always communicate with sellers through OCOP.pk's messaging system — not WhatsApp or phone calls. This keeps a record of all promises made.

8. Never Pay Outside the Platform

If a seller asks you to pay directly to their account and bypass the checkout, that's a red flag. All legitimate transactions happen through OCOP.pk's secure checkout.

9. Check Store Rating and Order Count

A store with hundreds of completed orders and a 4+ star rating is much safer than a brand new store with zero reviews. Check the "Since" date on the store page.

10. Report Suspicious Sellers

If something feels wrong, report it. OCOP.pk takes fraud seriously and investigates all reports. Your report protects other buyers too.

Shopping online in Pakistan is safe when you follow these steps. Stick to verified sellers on OCOP.pk and you'll have a great experience every time.
